We have great pleasure in announcing the shortlist of schools nominated for an award at our online ceremony on June 29th.
The committee and judges have been wowed by the inventiveness, creativity and persistence of schools who have entered this year against all the odds.
We’ve tried our hardest to do everything we can to recognise the achievements of our students this year by being every bit as innovative as they have.

Despite the lockdown and the slowing down of our daily lives over the last couple of months, Shine’s deadline is suddenly upon us – congratulations to all who have got their entries in!
For those schools who need that little bit of extra time, you have until this Friday 15th May to get last minute entries in.

Shine Chair Alison Strachan writes: whether you already run a school magazine or not, entering the Shine competition could help to fill the gap left by an absence of summer exams.
There’s an opportunity to record this moment, reporting experiences and making a lasting testament to these strange times.

In view of the strong possibility that schools may be closed in the near future for at least a few weeks, I understand that entering the Shine competition may not be top of your priorities. However, during these exceptional circumstances we will be accepting all entries as pdf files, even if they are unfinished.
