Get involved with the Shine School Media Awards
If students at your school already create a media project…
We’re talking about a magazine, newspaper (in print or PDF), podcast or website. Chances are it is already eligible for the annual Shine School Media Awards. Email us (details below) and fill out our entry form which we will send in January.
If students at your school don’t work on such a project…
Why not consider starting? We understand that projects take time… but they don’t have to be flashy or cost money to win an award.
For example, a podcast series (audio or video) can be recorded, edited and distributed from a phone. Then, when you enter, it will be listened to and judged by one of the most influential podcast experts in the UK.
Publications need not be printed, a digital edition will do just fine – we even have a dedicated digital edition award.
We accept projects large and small from across the UK, with the minimum criteria being just one of our categories – and the competition is free and easy to enter.

So we can get to know you, your plans and your project, we ask that a project leader, usually a teacher or Head of Department, drop us an email at shine@stationers.org.
Once that is in hand we will quickly acknowledge receipt and your Shine journey will begin.
We will keep you fully up-to-date with what is happening with regular emails as well as providing support materials such as video interviews with fascinating people in the journalism industry and beyond.
If you have any questions or need help, just email us at shine@stationers.org
