At the 2016 Shine Awards we made a special film to celebrate the bid day.

Our idea is to inspire next year’s entrants and show how amazing Shine really is.

London-based writer Paula Erizanu – judge of the Features Category for Shine 2016 – talks about her Shine story and offers some advice for aspiring Shine award-winning journalists.

John Cary, Head of Accreditation at the NCTJ (at the time of this post, he has subsequently left) gave us some feedback on the 2016 Feature Article category.

Now graduated, Matty Davis was a photographer and journalist for TERM magazine, Tarporley Sixth Form College’s student publication. At the 2015 Shine Awards Matty was highly commended for his feature article and was named ‘Young Journalist Showing Exceptional Promise’.
